All of your questions have been saved. When you contact LAO you need to provide the ‘intake ID’ number that was provided to you during the online application. This will retrieve all your entries. The contact centre agent will help you complete the application and answer any of your questions.

LAO requires a postal code to submit an application. If you do not currently have a fixed address, you may consider entering an address where we can send confidential documents, if required. (E.g. a shelter or a friend’s place.) If you need to look up the postal code, visit the Canada Post website.

If you named a lawyer on your application, the lawyer will be notified electronically via the solicitor portal. If a lawyer was not named, you can access your certificate number through your client portal account and provide it to your lawyer to look up via the solicitor portal.

No. You must call the contact centre Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 1‑800‑668‑8258 (or call 416‑979‑1446 if in Toronto).
