Canada Post update: continuing backlogs in mail delivery

Canada Post is working to process backlogs across the country and has advised that mail delivery delays will continue over the next few months.

Legal Aid Ontario will continue to use alternatives to Canada Post services where possible.

Alternatives to Canada Post service

• Call us toll‑free at 1‑800‑668‑8258 from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• In certain cases, LAO can e‑mail, fax or courier your documents or arrange for you to pick them up at a district office or a courthouse.
• You may also arrange to receive your documents through your lawyer.
• In some instances, deadlines can be extended.
