Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRCLS)
The Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRLSC) provides a broad range of free legal assistance to individuals throughout Ontario who have experienced discrimination contrary to Ontario’s Human Rights Code. The HRLSC is seeking applications for a Legal Counsel position to provide legal services and representation to HRLSC clients including at mediations and hearings before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO). Qualifications include human rights expertise, the ability to litigate before administrative tribunals, and knowledge and familiarity with legal issues, including discrimination. Some travel may be required.
This is a full-time, contract position until June 2025, with the possibility of extension. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring two (2) days in the Toronto office and three (3) days of remote work from home each week. This arrangement may be subject to change as part of the HRLSC’s Recovery Plan process. Salary for this position is $74,400+.
