Part-Time Front Desk Staff Summer Contract
West Toronto Community Legal Services is a community-based legal clinic and housing help service provider funded by Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) and the City of Toronto. We provide service to the diverse low-income communities in the western part of the City of Toronto.
We are currently looking for part-time front desk staff to work two days per week, with the possibility of additional days as required, until August 30th. The anticipated start date is July 3, 2024.
The rate of pay for part-time front desk staff is $23/hour.
Working at our busy front desk requires a person who is able to quickly master our telephone and reception duties for both our legal department and our housing help department. A high level of positive energy and team spirit is needed in this fast-paced environment. This position could be extended beyond August based on your availability and employer funding.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism
- A commitment to social justice and the work of the legal clinic system
- Knowledge of office systems and strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Prior experience with our clinic file management software (CIMS) is an asset.
- Knowledge of a second language relevant to our service region (Portuguese, Spanish, Hungarian, Mandarin) an asset
