Community Legal Worker
The Timmins‐Temiskaming Community Legal Clinic (“TTCLC”) is currently seeking a Community Legal Worker to join our team.
About TTCLC: TTCLC is a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. Our head office is located in the City of Timmins. We provide legal services in clinic law matters to lowincome residents of the Timmins and Temiskaming areas, primarily in housing and income maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as a community legal worker with a legal clinic and/or membership
in good standing of the LSUC as a licensed paralegal. - Commitment to social justice issues and to the delivery of high quality legal
services to disadvantaged individuals and groups. - Knowledge and experience with Residential Tenancies, Ontario Disability
Support Program, Ontario Works and CPP matters. - Demonstrated effective advocacy and communication skills.
- Strong legal skills, including research and analytical skills, negotiations and
public speaking. - Ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and a strong ability to handle multiple
priorities in a high volume environment. - Ability to deliver services in French an asset.
Salary Range:
The candidate’s salary will be commensurate with the level of experience, and will be in the range from $65,000 to $76,000 annually.
