Mississauga Community Legal Services is a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. We provide legal advice and representation to low-income residents of the City of Mississauga in various areas of law. We provide legal advice and representation to low-income residents of the City of Mississauga in various areas of law including Social Assistance, Tenants Rights, Immigration, Employment and CPP-D in conjunction with community development and organizing work to address systemic issues of social exclusion, displacement, and poverty.

We are searching for a permanent full-time Manager of Client Services. This is a management position with direct staff supervision. The candidate should be licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. They will have at least five years of legal experience preferably in a non-profit or private legal environment with working knowledge of multiple areas of clinic law. The candidate will oversee, coordinate, and provide leadership for all intake processes and file management to ensure quality service delivery to our clients and community. Supervisory and leadership experience are an asset.

To be successful in the role you will have the ability to recognize gaps in our service model and identify solutions to ensure quality and efficient service delivery. Having exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate and lead a team of legal professionals is also needed in this role. We are looking for an individual who has strong communication skills and can deescalate and resolve complex matters. The ability to speak a second language is an asset.

Successful candidates must be available to work full-time, in-person service. Workplace safety protocols have been implemented to ensure the health and safety of all staff, clients and visitors when attending or working in the office.
