Minimum experience requirements: Process maps for gaining authorization
In August of 2022, we implemented new minimum experience requirements for our roster lawyers.
Roster lawyers must verify whether or not they meet these minimum experience requirements or if they met the equivalent prior panel standards through their self-report on Legal Aid Online.
We have developed interactive process maps to help certificate lawyers and duty counsel understand the impacts of the new minimum experience requirements on their roster membership, including how LAO takes historical experience into account.
Please click on the process map that applies to the type of legal aid services you provide as a roster lawyer. If you provide both certificate and duty counsel services, we encourage you to view both maps that apply to you.
