Easier to use, less duplication, less data entry: duty counsel worksheet improvements coming July 27

Published: July 27, 2020

You asked. We listened. Starting July 27, the duty counsel services worksheet (DCSW) will be easier to use, require less duplication and less data entry.

Here’s how

NEW: Client consent-to-contact box

Tick the Consent to Contact box when your client consents to being contacted by LAO about their case—located right above the address and contact information fields:

NEW: Option to record an alternative phone number

Use this additional field under “Telephone” to record a second/alternative client phone number (e.g. cellphone and landline).

EXPANDED: Instructions box and character limit

More characters allowed in the comments box means you can include more details—256‑characters max.

MOVED: Arrest and incident date

For easier access, these two fields moved to Present Charges from the Court Information zone.

RENAMED: DC Navigation is now Duty Counsel Worksheet

Duty Counsel Navigation on the main menu has been renamed “Duty Counsel Worksheet”.

ADDED: Primary launch page icon

A DC worksheet icon will be added to the primary launch page for quicker selection. Here’s what it looks like:
