Legal Aid Ontario’s Refugee Law Office (RLO) is hosting a free webinar to assist immigration lawyers and other practitioners working with racialized clients in immigration enforcement proceedings. Panelists include Nana Yanful (Legal Director of Black Legal Action Centre), Andrew Brouwer (Senior Counsel at the Refugee Law Office), and Prasanna Balasundaram (Director of Downtown Legal Services).

Impacts of systemic racism in criminal sentencing

Strategies and resources for advancing similar evidence and arguments in the immigration context, including removal order appeals, humanitarian and compassionate applications, and detention reviews

Social history reports, such as Impact of Race and Cultural Assessments (IRCA)
Registration is open to all LAO refugee roster lawyers and any other interested persons.
