Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic
One-year contract position.
Funded by Legal Aid Ontario, the Chinese & Southeast Asian Legal Clinic (CSALC) is a dynamic community legal clinic which serves low income members of Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Laotian communities in Ontario. Recognized for its advocacy work on behalf of disadvantaged communities, CSALC is a United Nations accredited NGO with ECOSOC consultative status.
CSALC is hiring a junior staff lawyer on a one year contract basis, with the possibility of extension. The staff lawyer will conduct casework, summary legal advice, public legal education activities, as well as test case litigation and systemic advocacy both domestically and internationally. The staff lawyer may be working at CSALC’s satellite offices serving clients living across the GTA.

The expected start date for this position is July 1, 2020.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience based on Legal Aid Ontario guidelines, plus group benefits package and RRSP contributions.
