Summary:

The Toronto Star published a story about a Trans legal needs Assessment. Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) is funding the project. The HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario (HALCO) is leading it. Reporter Rachel Mendleson interviewed LAO lawyer Nicole Nussbaum for the story. The project will assess the legal needs of Trans people and determine the barriers they face in accessing justice. LAO is funding this project as part of its support for the addition of gender identity and gender expression to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
