Deadline is now June 9 to tell us what you think about our conflict management program for family law
Wednesday, May 21, 2014
Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) has extended its deadline for receiving input on its family law conflict of interest pilot to June 9, 2014. LAO values the opinion of the private bar.
Through this pilot, LAO family law staff lawyers inform their clients of potential conflict issues in cases in which another LAO lawyer could have substantial knowledge of a client’s case. In doing so, LAO’s lawyers and staff can meet their ethical obligations under the Rules of Professional Conduct and help LAO continue to meet its mandate to serve low income Ontarians.
