New Client Update Feature on Legal Aid Online

Lawyers can now instantly update their clients’ information using a new feature on Legal Aid Online. This new easy-to-use tool allows all panel lawyers and their staff to input clients’ names and contact details on acknowledged and active certificates. This new feature helps to improve service to clients by providing them with an additional access point to update their information.
Click on the new link called “Update Client Information” on the Legal Aid Online home page. You can update your client’s name and home contact details (address, phone and email) by simply clicking at the client’s name displayed on the page. To update non-home (e.g., prison, work) contact details, clients should continue to contact LAO toll-free at 1-800-668-8258. If a client does not wish to receive mail at their home address they should be advised to call LAO to set up an alternate mailing address.
