Connecting Region Invitation

Posted on: Friday, October 9, 2009

Do you want to put your region on the cutting edge of legal information, referral and service?

Do want to better serve linguistic minorities or residents of a rural or remote area?

Do you need $$$ for innovative strategies and projects?

If so, we invite your legal or community organization to apply to the Law Foundation of Ontario and ask that your region to be selected as a candidate for the Connecting Region.

The Law Foundation of Ontario wants to support the creation of a Connecting Region where a group of legal and non-legal organizations work together to develop a coherent system for the delivery of legal information, referrals and services to linguistic minorities and/or residents of rural or remote areas.

If your application is successful, funding will be available to help you work with others to form the Connecting Region and may be available for a range of proposals aimed at improving legal information, referrals and services to linguistic minorities and/or rural or remote residents in your region.

For further information on how to apply to the Law Foundation of Ontario to be chosen as the Connecting Region go to www.lawfoundation.on.ca and look under Special Announcements; Connecting Region Invitation. You may also contact Tanya Lee, Project Director, Linguistic and Rural Access to Justice Project at tlee.lawfoundation.on.ca or (416) 598-1550.

The deadline for applications is January 22, 2010
