Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Legal Clinic of Guelph and Wellington County


35 hours a week for five months (April to August 2010) with possibility of evolution to Clinic Legal Assistant (seperate job description) for one year contract. This is subject to available funding and has the possibility of further extension.

The Legal Clinic of Guelph and Wellington County is located in Guelph and serves low0income residents of Guelph and Wellignton county, primarily with housing and income maintenance issues. Further information can be found at our website: www.gwlegalclinic.ca

Required SKills and Experience:

  • Reception and main point of first contract for Clinics in person and on the phone.
  • Screens callers to determine if service can be provided or refers the person appropriately to other services.
  • Inputs information into data base, follows through as necessary with appointments.
  • Assists with correspondence and mail, supplies, equipment.
  • Processes bills, handles petty cash, drafts cheques and reviews accounts.
  • Opens and closes files, and files documents.
  • Assists with general administrative operation of the Clinic.
  • Travel throughout Guelph and Wellington County may required (vehicle and valid licence).

SALARY:
$15/hour for Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position, if evolves to Clinic Legal Assistant, $21.60/hour, subject to available funding.
